Plakate gegen Rechts

As part of a nationwide call by Verlage gegen Rechts, this poster series was created in support of a diverse, democratic society – a bold visual statement designed for public space. What started as a single design has since become part of an open campaign: free to use at protests, readings and public actions.

The design deliberately taps into pop cultural codes: inspired by the song "Please Please Please" by Sabrina Carpenter, a catchy earworm becomes a clear political message. While the far right may have claimed space, the design visibly leans left – a bold pink pushes back against political blue. Taking up space means thinking beyond boundaries, so the concept was built to extend across multiple touchpoints, making its message even more visible.

Through typographic shifts, vibrant colors and a strong play of light and shadow, the poster visualizes social dynamics rather than just stating them. Beyond the print poster, the concept carries into wearable and everyday formats: t-shirts, stickers and digital assets, so the statement keeps travelling once it leaves the wall.

The placement is deliberate, too: the message doesn't stay confined to the street. It shows up in everyday, private settings just as much – because taking a stand against the right isn't a street-only conversation. It has to reach and unsettle every social class, not just the ones already protesting.
